Purpose of the Job The Operations Team Member (Customs Clearance) supports daily customs clearance activities by preparing documentation, monitoring shipment status, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely clearance processes. This role reports to the Senior Customs Officer. Job Description Customs Clearance Support Prepare and organize customs clearance documentation and supporting paperwork. Submit required information and documents for customs clearance processing. Monitor shipment clearance status and update relevant stakeholders on progress. Coordinate with airlines, PPJK partners, vendors, and internal teams to support shipment processing. Assist in resolving routine customs clearance issues and discrepancies. Documentation & Compliance Verify the completeness and accuracy of shipment documents. Maintain customs records, files, and operational documentation. Ensure customs clearance documentation is properly recorded and stored. Support compliance reviews and document audits as required. Operational Administration Track shipment movements and key clearance milestones. Perform data entry and maintain clearance reports and operational records. Escalate operational issues, exceptions, or delays to the Senior Customs Officer. Support the implementation and adherence of customs clearance SOPs. Communication & Coordination Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and external partners regarding shipment requirements. Provide timely shipment and clearance status updates. Support internal communication to ensure smooth shipment processing. Job Requirements - Experience and Education Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Administration, International Trade, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, logistics, courier, or related operations. Basic knowledge of customs clearance processes and documentation. Familiarity with import and export documentation is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Good organizational and communication skills. Able to work accurately in a fast-paced operational environment.
