Role Overview The IT Infrastructure Engineer will support the organisations IT infrastructure operations, including network systems, hardware, security, cloud environments, and end-user support. The role is responsible for ensuring reliable infrastructure performance through effective implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and technical support services. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work in dynamic environments requiring both field and remote infrastructure support. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Operations and Support - Support the planning, deployment, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure systems. - Assist in hardware implementation, software configuration, and network capability enhancement. - Monitor infrastructure environments to ensure optimal system performance and availability. - Support data backup processes, disaster recovery planning, and infrastructure maintenance activities. - Perform troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues. - Assist in server, storage, and network administration activities. - Systems Administration and Security - Support Microsoft Active Directory administration and endpoint management - Assist in maintaining IT security systems and ensuring infrastructure compliance standards. - Support patch management, provisioning, and automation of endpoint devices where applicable. - Assist in log analysis, system monitoring, and troubleshooting of operational issues. - Support NAS and NAS-to-Cloud configurations and cloud platform integrations. Helpdesk and User Support - Provide Help Desk and desktop support services for organisational users. - Support Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS device troubleshooting and maintenance. - Assist users with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Exchange Online, and email-related issues. - Provide technical guidance and user support for hardware and software systems. - Support video conferencing systems and communication platforms. Documentation and Process Improvement - Assist in documenting existing IT infrastructure environments and configurations. - Support development of installation, operational, and upgrade procedures. - Research and recommend improvements to infrastructure processes and systems. - Support preparation of technical documentation, reports, and operational records. - Collaborate with supervisors and internal teams to strengthen IT operations and service delivery. Requirements Qualifications & Skills - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum 4 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems support roles. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration. - Experience supporting Windows 710, Mac OS, Android, and iOS environments. - Familiarity with NAS systems, cloud storage, and cloud platforms such as Azure or Tencent Cloud. - Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and Office 365 environments. - Understanding of IT security practices, endpoint management, and system monitoring. - Strong organisational, analytical, and time-management skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure operational environments. - Languages- English and local dialects are an advantage.
