- Ensure all IT solutions follow agreed architectural methodologies. - Manage business requirements, contain development costs, and reduce the time to delivery. - Ensure the quality and security of IT Infrastructure platforms. - Deploy stable and flexible IT infrastructure enabling easy maintenance and updates for future demand. - Ensure infrastructure reliability by design, including disaster recovery capabilities. Key Responsibilities - Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain the architecture and design of the VMWare infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements. - Implementation: Install, configure, and manage VMWare environments (VMware Cloud Foundation). - Security: Implement and maintain security best practices within the VMWare infrastructure - Backup and Recovery: Assist in the creation of Backup and Recovery practices - Automation: Utilize Aria automation tools and scripts to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce administrative overhead. - Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including network, storage, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and support of the VMWare setting. - Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the VMWare infrastructure, including design diagrams, configuration settings, and operational procedures. - Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest advancements in VMWare technologies and Aria automation, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the virtual infrastructure. Required Qualifications - A bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc. - Proven experience in Unix and Windows system administration, with a focus on virtualized infrastructure provisioning using VMWare. - Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform. - Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. Preferred Skillsets: - Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively. .
