External Job Description Responsibilities : Lead the design, engineering, and technical evaluation of EHV cable systems in accordance with customer specifications and international standards. Review customer enquiries, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to develop optimized cable designs and support commercial costing. Provide technical leadership to the Sales & Marketing team during pre-bid discussions, technical presentations, and customer meetings. Serve as the primary technical interface with customers from enquiry stage through order execution, ensuring timely resolution of all technical queries. Perform electrical, thermal, and mechanical design calculations, including cable sizing, ampacity, short-circuit ratings, voltage drop, sheath bonding, and installation parameters. Review and approve General Arrangement (GA) drawings, cable construction, datasheets, Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure successful execution of customer requirements. Provide technical guidance during type tests, routine tests, pre-qualification tests, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and customer inspections. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cable design, product standardization, cost optimization, and value engineering Support business development by participating in technical seminars, customer presentations, and strategic projects.
