Job Description Position Summary The Associate QA Engineer, is a part of BNIs Global Information Technology Team and primarily supports responsibilities related to the discovery of bugs, writing test cases, assisting with test automation scenarios, and running regression tests. A successful Associate QA Engineer has strong attention to detail as well as a foundational understanding of agile testing and testing methodologies. The Associate QA Engineer works closely with developers located within the BNI office in Bangalore, as well as members of the BNI Management Teams. Job Responsibilities Apply a working understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) to testing activities Execute both Manual and Automated Testing with guidance as needed Maintain test case library in a test management tool (e.g., TestRail). Execute tests across types: Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, End-to-End, Exploratory, UI/UX- Usability, and non-functional Experience working with bug tracking tools like JIRA Test web applications, mobile browser apps (iOS/Android), and APIs using Postman. Perform localization, globalization, and cross-platform compatibility testing. Write basic DB queries and create test data using MySQL / SQL Server. Hands-on working on QA reports Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver with Java and TestNG framework Stay current with testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance the testing process Support maintenance of existing automation frameworks to ensure stability and reliability Any additional duties needed to help demonstrate our core values, drive our vision, and fulfill our mission. Experience with tools &language: JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Jenkins, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Java. Good to have: JMeter / Performance testing tool Good problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and clear written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying Experience working within a Scrum/Agile process Good troubleshooting and debugging skills Willingness to learn and adapt to multiple technologies and applications Physical Demands and Working Conditions: (Working Conditions apply globally. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
