What you will achieve As an Integration Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain integrations across enterprise systems and applications in the health domain. You will: Help scale Dedalus technical capabilities to meet the evolving needs of global healthcare providers. Design, develop, and manage integrations between internal and external information systems using a variety patterns, standards, and integration platforms commonly found in the healthcare sector. Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply long-term fixes. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications and data flow diagrams. Ensure integration solutions follow security, compliance, and best practice architectural standards. Support migration of legacy integrations to modern platforms or cloud services. Support continuous improvement of Dedalus integration methodologies, standards, and tools. Work as part of a cross-functional project team collaborating across time zones. What youll need to succeed Essential requirements At least 6-10 years of experience in system integration or related engineering roles healthcare preferred. Knowledge of healthcare messaging standards and integration technologies: HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR. Hands on programming experience in Java, C# or similar languages. Experience in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience on both the Windows and Linux platforms. Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and authentication standards such as OAuth2. Experience using integration engines such as Rhapsody, Viaduct, Mirth, or similar platforms. Strong documentation skills and an ability to follow structured development practices. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an advantage. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
