Work Location Client Location Pharma - French Shared Services Centre) Gandimaisamma, Hyderabad Work Mode: 100% Work from Office About the Role Pharma MNC is strengthening its Global Shared Services Centre (SSC) to support the finance operations of its European pharmaceutical business. We are looking for a Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant with 23 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR) operations to join our Finance Controller team. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a multinational finance environment, supporting French legal entities while gaining exposure to global accounting practices, financial reporting, SAP, and finance transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities As part of the RTR & Finance Controller team, you will: Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities. Prepare, review, and post journal entries in SAP. Perform General Ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items. Support Fixed Assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, asset transfers, and disposals. Perform Treasury accounting activities, bank reconciliations, and cash-related accounting. Support financial reporting and management reporting requirements. Assist with statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance activities by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures. Analyze accounting variances and recommend corrective actions. Work closely with Finance Controllers and business stakeholders supporting French entities. Participate in process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives within the Shared Services Centre. Support transition and stabilization of finance processes into the SSC. Systems & Tools SAP ECC SAP S/4HANA Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions preferred) MS Office Required Skills Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and General Ledger processes. Good understanding of Record-to-Report (RTR) operations. Experience in Month-End Close activities. Knowledge of Fixed Assets and Treasury accounting. Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Journal Entry processing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a global Shared Services environment. Preferred Candidate Profile Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant with 23 years of relevant experience. Experience in Shared Services (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or multinational organizations is preferred. Exposure to manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage. Experience working with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred. Exposure to IFRS or European finance processes is an added advantage.
