Cloud Infrastructure & Observability Subject Matter Expert

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure & Observability SME to support our enterprise observability program across AWS and GCP environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, monitoring, operational reporting, and cloud governance, with a strong focus on ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: Lead cloud observability initiatives and AWS operational scorecards.Design and implement monitoring standards, dashboards, KPIs, and service health metrics.Support monitoring across AWS and GCP environments using enterprise observability tools.Partner with ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Database, and BI teams to deliver end-to-end visibility.Analyze cloud performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.Implement automated monitoring, discovery, alerting, and operational reporting.Drive cloud governance, best practices, and operational compliance.Document cloud architecture, monitoring standards, and operational procedures. Required Skills & Experience: 7 years of cloud infrastructure and operations experience.5 years of hands-on AWS experience and 3 years with GCP.Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Route 53.Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic.Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Docker, and Infrastructure as Code.Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, scalability, and production support.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps certification.Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.Experience supporting large enterprise or utility environments. .
