Actuarial Analyst OverviewReputed company is a re/insurance partner established to reputed company for clients' risks. The Actuarial Analyst will support the Pricing and Portfolio Management functions by tracking and analyzing pricing metrics, maintaining models, and contributing to the overall improvement of pricing operations. ResponsibilitiesAssist Head of Pricing Operations & reputed company in established pricing operations: collection and reporting of pricing metrics; review of pricing model maturity; pricing data collection, validation, and reporting; pricing model documentation; integration and deployment of completed pricing models.Assist Chief Pricing & Portfolio Actuary with portfolio management: day-to-day stewardship of portfolio management dashboards and other products; ensure data is correct and promptly fixed.Work with the Data Team to design and prototype new tools for portfolio management.Analyze trends in pricing metrics and price adequacy across the insurance portfolio.Participate in annual loss ratio planning on behalf of the business unit pricing actuaries.Centralize pricing data reporting for reinsurance placements, regulatory data calls, and similar exercises.Take on other projects and work as directed by members of the Insurance Pricing Team when time permits.SkillsBachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant field; or equivalent work experience.1-4 years of actuarial experience.Desire to pursue actuarial credential is required and will be supported.Proven track record of creative problem solving and attention to detail.Project work requiring scripting and programming languages is mandatory: R and SQL at a minimum.Ability to process and adapt to change in a rapid new-company environment.Two or more exams passed preferred; new university graduates with appropriate technical skills and credits for CAS actuarial exams encouraged to apply.Basic familiarity using Git required.VBA experience is a plus.BenefitsPerformance-based bonus potential.Strong health & welfare benefits.Retirement plans with company match.Competitive time off plans.Highly flexible work environment. .
