Job Description Key Responsibilities: - Monitor banana crop growth stages and identify readiness for critical fruit care interventions such as Bud Injection, Bunch Spraying, FOR, Dehandling, and Bagging - Conduct regular field visits to assess crop condition, bunch development, and overall fruit quality. - Recommend stage-wise fruit care activities to maximize bunch weight, finger size, uniformity, and marketable yield. - Work closely with field operations teams to prioritize plots, plan intervention schedules, and ensure timely execution. - Audit on-ground work quality and ensure fruit care activities are performed as per defined SOPs. - Train field teams on best practices for banana fruit development and quality improvement. - Identify factors impacting fruit quality and recommend corrective actions related to nutrition, irrigation, pest, disease, or field management. - Collect field observations, analyze outcomes, and continuously improve fruit care protocols across clusters. - Act as the technical expert for farmers, resolving crop-related queries and building trust through data-backed recommendations. - Support the development of scalable fruit care playbooks and agronomic protocols for expansion across regions RequirementsRequirements: - B.Sc./M.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related discipline - Strong understanding of banana crop lifecycle and fruit development stages - Experience in banana cultivation, fruit care, crop advisory, or field agronomy preferred - Ability to identify plot readiness and recommend stage-specific interventions - Comfortable working extensively in the field and travelling across farming clusters - Smartphone savvy and comfortable using digital agriculture tools and apps - Strong farmer engagement, training, and problem-solving skills - Passion for improving farmer outcomes through scientific crop management Requirements Requirements: - B.Sc./M.Sc.
