This role requires a multi-skilled professional capable of switching between mechanical checks, cosmetic detailing, and dealership administrative tasks to ensure every vehicle meets brand standards. [1]Job Overview Department: Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) / Dealership Logistics Core Goal: Deliver flawless, showroom-ready vehicles on tight deadlines. Safety Level: Medium (Involves driving, basic mechanics, and chemical handling). Key Responsibilities Perform technical checks: Execute comprehensive PDI checklists, including fluid levels, battery health, tyre pressures, and electrical systems. Diagnose and fix minor faults: Clear software fault codes using diagnostic scanners, replace dead fuses, and fix minor trim rattles. Execute cosmetic detailing: De-wax exterior paintwork, remove transit protective films, vacuum interiors, and polish surfaces to showroom quality. Install basic accessories: Fit dealer-specific extras such as floor mats, registration plates, mud flaps, and badge emblems. Manage yard logistics: Drive, park, and organize inventory within the holding yard, ensuring safe vehicle movement. Complete digital clearance paperwork: Document inspection results in the dealership management system (DMS) to formally sign off on PDI clearance. Report major defects: Identify and escalate complex mechanical or bodywork issues to the workshop master technician. Required Skills & Qualifications Broad technical aptitude: Basic understanding of passenger car mechanics, electronics, and detailing techniques. Valid driving licence: Clean driving record is mandatory for moving inventory safely. High multitasking ability: Capacity to rapidly shift tasks from cleaning to mechanical inspecting without losing attention to detail. Tech-savviness: Proficiency with handheld diagnostic tools and digital tablet-based checklists. Experience: 12 years in an automotive dealership, valeting centre, or PDI hub. Compensation: 20,000.00 - 26,000.00 per month Work Location: In person .
