Job Title: Senior Linux / Unix Systems Administrator (L2/L3) Experience: 4-8 years Location: CBD Belapur, Mumbai Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior L2/L3 Linux/Unix Systems Administrator to manage, optimize, and defend our mission-critical open-source and Unix infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise Linux distributions and deployment automation, ensuring maximum uptime and compliance across all lifecycle environments (Production, DR, UAT, SIT, and Dev). Key Responsibilities: - Linux/Unix Administration: Install, configure, optimize, and maintain enterprise Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux) and Unix system environments. - CI/CD Pipeline Support: Collaborate with development teams to support underlying automation systems and manage continuous deployment execution using Jenkins. - Security & Compliance Hardening: Remediate kernel-level and OS-level vulnerabilities, execute regular compliance audits, and close all VA/PT findings according to the Bank s strict Secure Configuration Document (SCD) standards. - Patch & Lifecycle Management: Maintain centralized patch repositories (e.g., Red Hat Satellite / Yum / Zypper) and execute non-disruptive kernel patching and OS migrations. - Performance Tuning & Sizing: Troubleshoot complex OS issues, file-system degradation, storage volume bottlenecks (LVM), and optimize configurations to guarantee resource utilization stays below 70%. - Disaster Recovery: Proactively manage systems monitoring and alerting setups, execute root cause analyses for production incidents, and maintain system resilience during DR drill windows. Technical Skillset Required: - Advanced expertise in Enterprise Linux (RHEL, OEL) and Unix system architectures. - Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash/Korn) and automation scripting (Ansible/Python). - Robust knowledge of Linux networking, storage multipathing, LVM configuration, and Jenkins integration.
