Job Title: Windows Administrator (Hyper-V & Windows Server) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Windows Administrator to manage and support our Windows Server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, IIS, Windows Server administration, security patching, OS migration, and server performance troubleshooting. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of enterprise Windows environments. Key Responsibilities - Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments. - Manage Hyper-V infrastructure, including VM creation, configuration, snapshots, and performance monitoring. - Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Hyper-V Failover Clusters. - Perform Windows Server provisioning, commissioning, and decommissioning. - Monitor server health, CPU, memory, storage, and critical Windows services. - Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server, Hyper-V, and IIS-related issues. - Perform IIS basic administration and troubleshooting. - Install and manage Windows security patches and updates. - Implement Windows Server hardening as per organizational security policies. - Perform OS migration (In-place and Side-by-Side) with minimal downtime. - Manage user access, NTFS permissions, and shared folders. - Restore servers and services during system failures or OS corruption. - Coordinate with hardware vendors and internal teams for incident resolution. - Maintain server inventory and infrastructure documentation. - Prepare monthly server availability and performance reports. - Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities. Required Skills - Strong experience in Windows Server Administration (2012/2016/2019/2022). - Hands-on experience with Hyper-V Administration. - Experience configuring and managing Hyper-V Failover Clusters. - Knowledge of IIS (Internet Information Services) administration and troubleshooting. - Experience with Windows Security Patching and OS Hardening. - Experience in Windows Server OS Migration (In-place & Side-by-Side). - Solid troubleshooting skills related to server performance, CPU, memory, storage, and services. - Experience with VM provisioning, snapshots, and performance monitoring. - Good understanding of Windows Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, and server diagnostics. - Experience with server backup and recovery. - Knowledge of incident and problem management processes. Preferred Skills - Active Directory (AD) - DNS, DHCP - PowerShell scripting - Monitoring tools (SCOM, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, etc.) - ITIL process knowledge - Experience working in enterprise production environments Experience - 4-6 Years of relevant experience in Windows Server Administration. Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Microsoft certifications (preferred but not mandatory). .
