This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time We are looking for a detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our Property & Casualty underwriting team. The ideal candidate will assist with the policy life cycle, risk assessment, and decision-making, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. Designation: Underwriting Assistant Property & Casualty Department: Underwriting Experience: 1+ year in Property & Casualty underwriting (or relevant qualifications) Skilled Qualifications: Completed or pursuing CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or equivalent preferred Responsibilities - Evaluate and analyze insurance applications to determine risk and provide recommendations for underwriting decisions. - Utilize underwriting tools and systems to oversee each phase of the policy lifecycle. - Assist senior underwriters with tasks related to policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims. - Ensure accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all underwriting processes. - Communicate with internal teams and external parties to collect information, clarify requirements, and facilitate efficient workflow. - Compile and maintain documentation and reports for both internal use and regulatory compliance. - Process applications promptly to meet deadlines and satisfy client expectations. - Consistently provide outstanding customer service. Job Qualifications & Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risk accurately. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - Capacity to comprehend and interpret complex information to fulfill job requirements. - High level of accuracy and attention to risk-related details. - Effective organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Proven capability to establish and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. - A proactive approach with a robust sense of urgency to meet deadlines. - Preferred skilled certifications include CPCU, whether completed or in progress.
