Learn more at www.te.com Business Unit (BU) Description As a member of the Digital Data Networks (DDN) business in TE Connectivity, you will play a key role in the design of products for high-speed products in the connector, cable assembly, and/or radio system industrytargeting high-speed communications and connectivity within data centers and wireless infrastructure. Role Description: The Master Black Belt (MBB) serves as an enterprise-level leader for problem solving excellence, continuous improvement, and capability development. The MBB will be instrumental in the development, deployment, training and certification of the entire DFSS/Six Sigma Strategy within the business unit, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and drives significant improvement in execution, productivity, and measurable business results. The MBB will lead the training and certification of Black Belts and Green Belts, strengthening cross-functional team performance, utilization of tools and robust methodologies, and fostering a data-driven culture. The primary aim is to lead Cultural Transformation and systematically instill Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision-making into the company's systems, policies, processes and culture. The MBB will ensure Six Sigma Training modules are developed in a manner that allows tailoring of training specific to the audience, optimizing the training for targeted functions within the organization: from full DFFSS to DMAIC to Lean as well as focused workshops. The MBB will be a master coach, mentor, and strategic problem solver within the business unit. The MBB may also be assigned to key strategic programs to serve as Technical Problem-Solving Expert, coaching teams in data collection, data analysis, and tool usage to solving technically complex challenges. It is estimated that around 40% ~ 50% of the MBBs bandwidth will be focused on deployment, training and certification of the DFSS/Six Sigma Training Program, and the remainder will be spent providing expert DFSS/Six Sigma support on special strategic NPI Programs, Critical Operational Projects and other strategic topics relevant to DDN India Site. Key Responsibilities: Training, Coaching & Internal Certification Development - Design, deliver, and continuously improve DFSS/Six Sigma Training Programs for Green Belts, Black Belts, and technical leaders. Lead Cultural Transformation within the business unit and systematically instill Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision-making into the systems, policies, processes and culture. Organize on-site DFSS/Six Sigma Trainings, systematically track and manage the certification level and progress of all engineers by function, team and location. Define and govern internal certification standards - Ensure consistent application of methodologies and tools; drive demonstrated business impacts; adhere with corporate expectations and compliance requirements. Serve as a primary technical resource and consultant for process improvement and design, offering guidance across departments, building problem-solving capability at scale by coaching leaders to teach and sustain problem-solving behaviors within their teams. Drive the organization towards adoption of First Time Right design philosophy. NPI New Product Development & Process Development Support - Provide Six Sigma leadership and support to Product Development Engineering (PDE) teams and Manufacturing Process Development Engineering (MPDE) teams for key NPI programs. o Embed statistical thinking, data driven decisions and capability demonstration for component, product, sub-assembly, process and equipment developments. o Provide support for problem solving, utilization of DFSS tools and methodologies, VOC, QFD, capability studies, DOEs, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans. o Guide the teams to deliver more robust designs, reduce variation, identify and mitigate technical and design risks early in the NPI, reduce time-to-stable-production, prevent downstream quality and cost issues, and help deliver projects On-Time, On-Cost, On-Quality and meeting financial obligations. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
