Telvero is seeking a Lead Fiber Design Engineer (QA/QC) to support a major FTTH deployment initiative across multiple Western U.S. markets. This role involves reviewing and validating vendor-produced fiber designs and ensuring compliance with client standards before construction release.ResponsibilitiesPerform QA/QC reviews of High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for FTTH deploymentsReview and validate vendor-produced engineering packages, ensuring compliance with client standards, construction requirements, and project objectivesRedline, correct, and approve fiber designs prior to permitting and construction releaseAdapt high-level design standards to market-specific requirements, municipality standards, permitting constraints, and existing infrastructure conditionsReview fiber routing, conduit placement, handhole placement, cable sizing, splice designs, splitter placement, address lists, and overall network architectureValidate constructability, permitting readiness, and field feasibility of proposed designsEnsure designs align with project budget, schedule, quality, and deployment objectivesReview GIS data and maintain data integrity within Vetro and other engineering platformsCollaborate with engineering, permitting, construction, project management, and vendor teams to resolve design issues and support project deliveryParticipate in occasional site walks, field validation activities, and client meetingsPresent engineering findings, design recommendations, and project risks to client stakeholders and internal leadershipSkills5+ years of FTTH, FTTx, or broadband fiber engineering experienceExperience reviewing and QA/QC'ing OSP fiber designs for construction readinessStrong understanding of FTTH architecture, GPON or Active Ethernet networks, feeder and distribution design, splice design, and constructability reviewExperience reviewing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)Hands-on GIS experience is requiredExperience utilizing one or more of the following: Vetro, 3GIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, IQGeo, Smallworld, SpatialNet, Similar fiber management or GIS platformsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, fiber network diagrams, splice documentation, and construction packagesStrong communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with clients, vendors, engineers, and project stakeholdersAbility to identify design deficiencies, recommend solutions, and communicate technical findings clearlyValid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25%Must be fully authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipNo C2C candidates or third-party submissionsExperience with VetroExperience supporting large-scale FTTH deploymentsExperience reviewing vendor-produced engineering packagesExperience with SiteTracker or similar project management platformsCompany OverviewTelvero offers recruitment and staffing for telecom, IT, engineering, and related industries.
