Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Information Technology Network Engineer role based in Chandigarh, India. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks. Daily tasks include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, managing user access and permissions, and ensuring data security and backup processes are in place. The role also involves coordinating with IT and operations teams to support business applications, maintaining documentation of network configurations, and participating in system upgrades and integration projects. The Network Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes to support the organizations healthcare and wellness services. Key Responsibility Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure. Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers and network monitoring and alerting tools. Expertise in enterprise firewall technologies such as FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco, and SonicWall Hands-on experience with IPS/IDS, WAF, VPN, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN, NAT, URL Filtering, Application Control, and Threat Protection . Ability to manage and optimise 99.9% network and security uptime SLAs across data centres, cloud environments, branch offices, hospitals, and contact centres Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity. Troubleshoot network outages, latency issues, and connectivity problems. Manage WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet Leased Lines, and VPN solutions. Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and segmentation. Perform configuration backups, firmware upgrades, and patch management. Maintain compliance with organisation security standards and audit requirements Required Technical Skills Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP. Expertise in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, SonicWall, Aruba, or similar technologies. Knowledge of MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, and network security. Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG or Zabbix. Understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure). Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Firewall High Availability (HA) clusters in Active-Passive and Active-Active modes. Strong understanding of network redundancy, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery architecture . Experience in conducting firewall migrations, security audits, and vulnerability remediation. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field. 4-8+ years of experience in network administration or engineering. Professional certifications preferred CCNA / CCNP/ MCSE/MCSA Azure Network Engineer Associate AWS Advanced Networking .
