Job description/ roles & responsibilities Create step-by-step troubleshooting guides.Define and write procedures for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs), including what the code means and the exact mechanical/electrical checks required to resolve it.Develops technical documentation based on the level of equity assigned.Develop diagnostic procedures using DUD, SOD, Part 2 Spec, wiring schematics and other engineering data.Familiarity with the structured authoring (xml) and aftersales standards.Performs teardown, removal and installation, disassembly and assembly processes to document proceduresValidate troubleshooting steps on real systems or simulations.Consults with various client contacts and subject matter experts to gather product specific informationParticipates in meetings with clients, subject matter experts and departmental co-workersCreate documentation using tools such as ArborText / XMetaL, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Communicate project progress and potential risks to the project manager.Provide training and support to junior authors.Facilitate Customer Satisfaction by means of adhering to standards, timelines & qualitative outputDiploma Mechanical/Automobile with 3-4 years of experience or B.E. Mechanical/Automobile with 2-3 years of experience Experience in Automotive Electrical Diagnostic Troubleshooting at Dealership/OEM or Experience in Automotive Technical Publications & Diagnostic Authoring. Strong skills in reading electrical wiring diagrams and understanding complex vehicle subsystem (ADAS, Powertrain, Chassis).Hands on experience of vehicle electrical diagnosticsAnalytical skills .
