Integration Design & Development Develop integrations using REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub spokes, Custom Actions, MID Server, and Scripted REST APIs. Configure and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external platforms (ERP, CRM, identity systems, licensing systems, custom apps). Build secure, scalable, and reusable integration patterns. 2. Flow Designer & Automation Create automated flows using Flow Designer, Subflows, and Data Streams. Integrate flows with external endpoints and handle complex transformation logic. Implement orchestration-style workflows for multi-step API interactions. 3. Data Transformation & Mapping Create Transform Maps, Data Sources, and Import Sets for inbound data flows. Design field mapping strategies for bi-directional integrations. Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and CMDB/CSDM alignment where applicable. 4. API Management Develop and manage Scripted REST APIs, API Gateways, and webhooks. Implement authentication methods: OAuth 2.0 Basic Auth Mutual TLS API Keys Troubleshoot API failures, latency issues, and payload errors. 5. Integration Monitoring & Troubleshooting Use tools such as ECC Queue, System Logs, Rest Message Logs, MID Server Logs, etc. Monitor integration health, throughput, and error conditions. Resolve production issues and perform root-cause analysis. 6. Security, Governance & Best Practices Apply ServiceNow integration security best practices. Ensure least privilege access, credential vault usage, and secure token management. Follow coding standards, naming conventions, and architectural guidelines. 7. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with architects, process owners, and platform teams. Translate integration requirements into technical specifications. Maintain documentation for interface designs, data contracts, and integration flows. .
