Job Title Store Assistant Department Store / Inventory Reports To Store In-Charge / Store Manager Location Manufacturing Unit Employment Type Full-Time Job Summary The Store Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the store by ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of raw materials, consumables, tools, packing materials, and finished goods. The role requires maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production requirements, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Receipt Receive incoming materials from suppliers.Verify quantity and quality against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans, and Invoices.Assist in Goods Receipt Note (GRN) preparation.Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock records.Arrange materials systematically using FIFO/FEFO principles.Ensure proper labeling and identification of all materials.Monitor stock levels and inform the Store In-Charge about low inventory.Participate in monthly and annual physical stock verification.Material Issue Issue materials against authorized Material Requisition Notes (MRN).Ensure timely supply of materials to the production department.Record all material movements accurately.Documentation Maintain proper records of:GRNMaterial Issue SlipsStock RegistersBin CardsInventory ReportsUpdate ERP/Excel inventory records regularly.Housekeeping & Safety Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.Follow 5S practices.Ensure safe storage of materials.Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.Coordination Coordinate with:Purchase DepartmentProduction DepartmentQuality DepartmentDispatch DepartmentSupport internal and external audits.Other Responsibilities Assist in cycle counting.Handle loading and unloading of materials.Ensure proper storage conditions.Perform any other work assigned by the Store In-Charge.Required Qualifications HSC / Diploma / Graduate (Any Discipline preferred)Certification in Inventory or Store Management is an added advantage.Experience 02 years for Fresher/Junior Store Assistant25 years preferred in a manufacturing environmentRequired Skills Basic inventory management knowledgeERP/SAP or inventory software knowledge (preferred)MS Excel and MS Office proficiencyGood communication skillsBasic documentation skillsTeamwork and coordinationTime managementAttention to detailPhysical ability to handle materialsProblem-solving skillsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) Inventory accuracy (%)Material issue turnaround timeGRN processing accuracyStock discrepancy rateHousekeeping (5S) complianceFIFO/FEFO complianceMaterial availability for productionAudit complianceDocumentation accuracyZero material loss due to negligenceWorking Conditions Manufacturing plant environmentStanding and walking for extended periodsMaterial handling and lifting as requiredUse of PPE as per company safety policyAuthority Verify received materials.Issue materials against approved requisitions.Update inventory records.Report stock discrepancies and shortages.Escalate damaged or non-conforming materials to the Store In-Charge.Preferred Knowledge FIFO / FEFO5S MethodologyInventory ControlBarcode SystemERP/SAPISO 9001 DocumentationMaterial Identification & TraceabilityManufacturing Store OperationPay: 15,000.00 - 20,000.00 per month Benefits: Leave encashmentProvident FundWork Location: In person .
