As a CRE Loan Processor & Closer, you will play a key role in the loan origination and closing process, working closely with the borrowers loan representative, third-party vendors, and legal counsel. This role involves preparing loan files for underwriting and closing, performing financial statement analysis, and assisting with credit decision data entry. Key Responsibilities: Collection of Borrower and Property Information (40%) - Provide excellent customer service to Business Development Officers (BDOs), borrowers, underwriters, and other loan stakeholders. - Gather necessary borrower, guarantor, and property information for the loan file. - Coordinate with third-party vendors for required reports (e.g., appraisals, title, environmental, and credit reports). - Ensure timely receipt and review of all necessary documentation to support the loan process. Verification of Loan Information (10%) - Maintain accurate and complete loan files. - Review and verify borrower information for consistency and completeness. - Proactively address potential issues to ensure smooth underwriting. Loan Closings (50%) - Act as the primary point of contact between borrowers, lenders, external counsel, title companies, and escrow agents. - Coordinate the collection of due diligence materials and manage the closing process, ensuring all documents are accurate and compliant with policies and regulations. - Collaborate with legal counsel, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure the timely preparation of loan documents. - Ensure all pre-closing conditions are met and that the loan is ready for closing. - Address last-minute changes and resolve potential issues to ensure on-time closings. - Ensure proper recording of legal documents and manage post-closing requirements. Required Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate loan closings or a related field (e.g., real estate law, title, escrow services). - Bachelors degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or related field preferred. - Experience with commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition loans, refinancing, bridge loans, and construction loans. - Strong understanding of business financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports. - Familiarity with loan documentation and regulatory requirements. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal or financial concepts clearly. - Ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously with a focus on meeting deadlines.
