The opportunity The Consultant Oracle HCM-Oracle HCM Payroll Functional will be responsible for supporting and optimizing key talent and workforce-related processes within the Workday environment. This role will focus on production support, issue resolution, stabilization, configuration updates, and enhancement delivery across Talent, Performance, Succession, Benefits, and Absence Management. The role requires a strong functional understanding of Workday module interdependencies, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience operating in an Application Management Support (AMS) environment where responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement are critical. Your key responsibilities Provide production support for Workday Talent, Benefits, and Absence modules, resolving issues across enrolments, life events, accruals, and talent processes.Perform incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) with proper documentation and knowledge capture.Maintain and enhance functional configurations (benefits plans, absence policies, talent processes, BPF, approvals, validations).Handle minor enhancements and change requests, ensuring alignment with HR policies and business needs.Collaborate with Core HCM, Payroll, Compensation, and Security teams to ensure end-to-end process integrity.Support Workday releases, testing (regression/UAT), and defect resolution, while driving continuous improvements and automation.Prepare documentation and stakeholder support artifacts and provide guidance to business users on system usage and process optimization.Skills and attributes for success Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilityStakeholder communication and advisory skillsDetail orientation and process disciplineAbility to balance support operations with ongoing enhancementsStrong team-player and self-started attitude.Well organized, attentive to details attitude.To qualify for the role, you must have 1-3 years of Workday HCM experience with strong expertise in at least two or more of the following:Talent / Performance / SuccessionBenefitsAbsence ManagementProven background in AMS support, post-go-live stabilization, and enhancement delivery.Strong understanding of:Leave and accrual configurationBenefits eligibility and life event processingTalent and performance cyclesWorkday business processes and securityExperience troubleshooting module-specific issues in a production environment.Ability to analyse impacts across HCM modules and recommend scalable functional solutions.Experience with testing, documentation, and incident/service request management.Workday certification in Benefits, Absence, and/or Talent/PerformanceAdditionally, good to have Experience in global or multi-country Workday support environments.Familiarity with payroll impacts from Absence and Benefits processes.Experience supporting Workday release cycles and governance frameworks.Exposure to report writing, calculated fields, and audit/reporting support.What we look for A Team of people with commercial acumen, technical experience and enthusiasm to learn new things in this fast-moving environmentAn opportunity to be a part of market-leading, multi-disciplinary team of 250+ professionals, in the only integrated global transaction business worldwide.Opportunities to work with EY ServiceNow practices globally with leading businesses across a range of industriesWhat working at EY offers At EY, were dedicated to helping our clients, from startups to Fortune 500 companies and the work we do with them is as varied as they are.
