Location : Gurgaon Team : Advertising & Sales Employment Type : Regular Job Code : A58381A Responsibilities The Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our India market will work closely with Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing teams to collect and organize sales leads that fit well with our AI solutions and other Tech2B products. You will be responsible for detecting market opportunities and developing leads across all channels, including marketing events, social media, among others. You will ensure that our sales leads are of the highest quality, with the goal of targeting potential customers. You will be responsible for qualifying leads and distributing them to Sales Managers in a timely manner, as well as ensuring that the top of funnel is strong for all Sales Managers. SDRs are responsible for developing and qualifying new prospect opportunities within their assigned territory. They work closely with BytePlus's Marketing, Sales Managers and Alliances teams in developing targeted strategies and messaging to drive new opportunities. In partnership with these groups, we educate prospects, build relationships, qualify opportunities and generate healthy sales pipeline. Responsibilities Proactive Account Strategy: Be resourceful in generating and building Key Account lists from the ground up through independent research, market analysis, and creative prospecting techniques. Sales Manager Partnership: Work in a tight, collaborative partnership with assigned Sales Managers to co-develop territory strategy, identify high-value targets, and ensure a seamless handoff. Customized Outreach: Develop and execute highly customized outreach strategies for different industries, personas, and use cases, moving beyond templates to create compelling and relevant messaging that would generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline. Operational Excellence: Maintain impeccable Salesforce hygiene as a top priority, ensuring all lead, contact, and opportunity data is accurately and promptly logged for clean reporting and effective pipeline management. Leveraging AI tools and an AI-native way of working to drive strategic, efficient, and proactive prospecting - using AI to research accounts, personalize outreach at scale, prioritize the highest-potential leads, and continuously sharpen targeting. Outbound telesales: making outgoing phone calls to potential prospects to pitch solutions in order to convert leads into customers and close deals over the phone. Attending training and coaching regularly and adopt proven selling methodology. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 1+ year of technology-related business development experience in SDR functions. AI-native: highly comfortable adopting and experimenting with AI tools to work smarter and prospect more effectively - treating AI as a core part of how you operate. Ability to communicate confidently in both written and verbal English as this role will be liaising with external stakeholders across the region. Preferred Qualifications Comfortable with cold calling in fluent and professional English (and regional languages where relevant) and making sales pitches. Hands-on experience using AI-powered prospecting and productivity tools (e.g. Claude Cowork, MCPs) to enhance research, outreach, and lead qualification. Passionate about technology / AI / SaaS / PaaS / IaaS and sales - experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products / services preferred. Excellent time management / organizational skills, strong attention to detail, metrics-driven and goal-oriented.
