About us: At Collablens, one of our focus areas is AI-powered visual inspection solutions for the FMCG and food processing industry, spanning every stage from farm to packaging. Our flagship offering, HectoVision, is an advanced multi-model image analysis platform capable of orchestrating up to 120 concurrent vision models in a seamless cascade pipelineaccurately detecting micron-level contaminants (e.g., hair, foliage) to maintain the highest quality standards. We are seeking a versatile Engineer who will support our R&D efforts by contributing to engineering tasks, data gathering, and on-site deployments, helping us accelerate solution rollouts for our 10 key customers. This role is your opportunity to bridge cutting-edge innovation with real-world impact, ensuring HectoVision continues to deliver unmatched quality and performance in the field. What Youll DoVideo Scripting & Data Management: Use tools like FFmpeg,GStreamer etc to automate video capture and processing; download, edit, and manage large volumes of video data on servers, ensuring proper indexing for analytics.Multi-Model Edge Device Integration: Set up and optimize edge devices that run multiple computer vision models in parallel, maintaining real-time throughput.Hands-On Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve issues in real-time, from camera alignment to edge device configurations or software anomalies.Iterative Improvement: Gather on-site feedback, propose enhancements, and ensure HectoVision remains responsive and robusteven as it orchestrates dozens of concurrent models.On-Site Collaboration: Travel to our partners food processing/packing factory to deploy HectoVision in live production lines.Who Were Looking ForAdaptable & Proactive: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn, and skilled at taking initiativeTechnical Foundation: Strong understanding of programming (Python, C++, etc.), data structures, and Linux-based development.Video & Data Savvy: Able to script workflows (e.g., FFmpeg) for video streams, plus organize large data sets on servers.On-Site Builder: Willing to travel frequently to partner facilities for setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.Collaborative & Communicative: Effective in working with cross-functional teamsto ensure smooth deployments.Detail-Oriented: Consistently upholds high standards of quality, even under tight deadlines or large-scale data challenges.Basic QualificationsPursuing or holding a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, or related fields (or equivalent experience).Familiarity with Linux for development, testing, and debugging.Ability to travel to client factories for on-site setup and ongoing support.Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good to Have (Not Required)Exposure to computer vision libraries (OpenCV, PIL) or AI frameworks.Competitive programming or hackathon experience demonstrating problem-solving skills.Familiarity with embedded systems or other edge platforms.Experience in image/video processing deployments.LogisticsWork Setup: On-SiteDuration: 3-6 months for the initial contract, with potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and mutual fit.Our Team: Our agile five-person team brings extensive experience in Computer Vision, AI, and IoT R&D, supported by 15 patents and publications. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
