Description: Position Summary: This position will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing and procurement of diamonds and/or colored gemstones (emeralds, rubies, sapphires, etc.) to support production & sampling requirements. This role involves vendor management, quality assurance, price negotiation & inventory coordination. The individual is expected to ensure the availability of stones at the right price, quality & timelines, in alignment with design & manufacturing plans. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Planning : Plan diamond & gemstone procurement schedules aligned with production & sample line requirement. Forecast diamond requirements by order frequency & product category. Optimize procurement cost & cash flow through smart buying inventory rotation. Vendor and Supplier Management: Identify, valuate & develop reliable suppliers, maintain vendor relationships for critical & certified stones Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead time, payment cycles & quality. Quality Inspection / Check: Implement incoming QC parameters for stone cut, colour, clarity, carat. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory health of diamonds & gemstones, ensure stocking as per norm Track consumption, procurement & stock across product lines Ensure stock data visibility in ERP or inventory systems. Cross-functional Coordination : Coordinate with design, CAD, production & sales teams to meet timeline Support the product development team with timely availability of special stones for samples Prefer- Bandra BKC Prefer- Bandra BKC Skills: Candidate Profile: Education & Qualifications: Graduate Gemology certification (GIA / IGI etc) Minimum 10+ years in diamond and/or gemstone Procurement Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of market trends Hands-on experience in stone grading, negotiation, vendor management Exposure to certification, international sourcing & high-value stones
