Designation: Sr. Coordinator Cargo Operations Equipment Dispatch (ED) Location: Mumbai Industry Container Shipping / Liner Logistics Department: Equipment Dispatch (ED) Educational Qualification: Graduation with any bachelor's degree; Logistics, Shipping, or Supply Chain background preferred Experience 2 to 5 years in liner shipping, container logistics, or equipment/depot operations We are looking for a detail-oriented, process-driven professional to manage end-to-end container equipment flow between Area/regional offices and the Global Capability Center (GCC), covering equipment inventory, dispatch requests, event handling, work orders, overdue container management, and Smart Return/Pick-up performance. Key Responsibilities Monitor equipment inventory at depots/terminals; identify and act on wrong returns, overdue empties, and inventory mismatches. Validate and process equipment requests from CSS/SV; coordinate dispatch actions and maintain trackers for timely closure. Apply defined dispatch rules (including customer-agreement rules) and manage shipper pool activities. Identify late pick-ups (e.g., after vessel departure) and drive end-to-end resolution of ED operational exceptions. Evaluate and coordinate street-turn requests validations, approvals, and execution follow-up with tracker documentation. Capture and validate EPOS events, correct missing/incorrect entries with depots/terminals/vendors, and ensure ISRE/OSLE triggers for MT inland moves. Create Storage/LOLO work orders and verify vendor invoices against supporting evidence, resolving discrepancies via escalation paths. Monitor overdue containers, coordinate with vendors to control FIFO, and escalate critical/aging cases per the agreed matrix. Monitor Smart Return/Smart Pick-up opportunities, coordinate execution, and track performance. Report Units Out of Service, create/announce MT shipments, support vessel clean-up, and maintain audit-ready trackers and logs. Requirements Experience in container shipping, liner operations, equipment/depot management, or logistics back-office operations ideally from a GCC, shared services center, or captive center of a global shipping line. Hands-on experience with freight/equipment management systems, EDI/EPOS event capture, and DRP-linked processes; ability to switch between multiple systems in a single workflow. Working proficiency in Excel filters, lookups, basic reporting for inventory positions, overdue containers, trackers, and Smart Return performance. Strong attention to detail when validating equipment events, invoices, and dispatch rules; self-check before submission is mandatory. Ability to follow defined escalation matrices for aging/critical cases and maintain audit-ready trackers, logs, and documentation. Ability to manage hard, non-negotiable deadlines across overdue monitoring cycles, work order processing, and event/exception handling. Clear, professional written English for coordinating with CSS/SV, depots, terminals, vendors, and Area offices across multiple time zones.
