Key Responsibilities Enterprise Database Administration - Administer and support enterprise SQL Server environments (SQL Server 20162022). - Manage installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning. - Implement High Availability (Always On AG, Clustering, Replication, Log Shipping) and Disaster Recovery solutions. - Perform database performance tuning, optimization, monitoring, and health assessments. - Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and compliance with enterprise standards. ETL & - Data Integration - Design, develop, and support ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS, and SSIS. - Develop scalable data pipelines, source-to-target mappings, and data quality processes. - Support enterprise data warehouse and ERP integration initiatives. Reporting & - Business Intelligence - Develop and optimize enterprise reports, dashboards, and analytics using: oSSRS oPower BI oCognos oTableau oOracle BI Publisher oArgos Reporting - Optimize complex SQL queries and reporting databases for high-performance analytics. ERP & - Application Support - Support SQL databases for Ellucian Colleague, Jenzabar. - Troubleshoot database, integration, ETL, and reporting issues in production environments. - Support ERP upgrades, migrations, and data conversion projects. Cloud & - Automation - Support Azure SQL, AWS RDS, and hybrid database environments. - Automate administrative tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, and SQL Agent. - Participate in database modernization and cloud migration initiatives. Leadership - Provide L3/L4 production support and technical leadership. - Mentor junior DBAs and conduct technical reviews. - Develop database standards, SOPs, and operational best practices. - Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Development, and Product teams. Required Technical Skills Database - Microsoft SQL Server (20162022) - T-SQL, Query Optimization - Always On Availability Groups - Clustering - Replication - Log Shipping - Backup & - Recovery - Performance Tuning ETL & - Data Integration - Informatica PowerCenter - Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) - SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) - Azure Data Factory (Preferred) Reporting & - BI - SSRS - Power BI - Cognos Analytics - Tableau - Oracle BI Publisher - Argos Reporting Cloud & - Automation - Azure SQL - AWS RDS - PowerShell - Python - Git / Azure DevOps Monitoring Tools - SQL Profiler - Extended Events - Query Store - Redgate SQL Monitor - SolarWinds DPA Experience - 1015 years of SQL Server Database Administration. - 5+ years supporting enterprise production environments. - 3+ years of Informatica PowerCenter/IICS experience. - Robust experience with enterprise reporting and BI platforms. - Experience supporting Higher Education ERP systems is highly preferred. .
