Key Responsibilities: - Develop and customize OpenWrt build systems for operator-specific router distributions - Build high-performance network stacks and middleware for Wi-Fi 6/7 & 5G-FWA routers - Implement TR-181/USP/TR-369 device management standards for global operators - Design scalable, modular embedded Linux systems for complex CPE environments - Debug and resolve critical issues: kernel panics, memory leaks, race conditions - Collaborate with hardware and product teams to deliver carrier-grade solutions Must-Have Skills: - OpenWrt Proficiency: Customizing build systems, package configurations, feeds - Programming: Advanced C/C++ for resource-efficient, high-performance networking - Network Stack & Protocols: - IPv4/IPv6: Dual-stack, DHCPv4/v6, SLAAC, Prefix Delegation, MAP-T/E, DS-Lite - L2/L3: Linux Bridge, VLAN 802.1Q/QinQ, SoC hardware offloading - Routing: Multi-WAN, Failover, Policy-Based Routing, IGMP/MLD Snooping/Proxy - Device Management: TR-181/TR-098 data models, USP/TR-369 experience - Debugging: GDB, Valgrind, JTAG, Wireshark, Tcpdump - System Design: Defining software interfaces & integrating cross-platform middleware Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on with Airoha SDKs & MediaTek WiFi drivers - Familiarity with RDK-B, prplOS, prplLCM - QoS/QoE: Traffic Shaping - tc, HTB, FQ_CoDEL, DPI, traffic classification for Gaming/VoIP - Security: Firewall4/Nftables, Iptables, VPN - WireGuard, IPsec, hardware crypto-acceleration .
