Role: Linux/Unix Admin L3 Location: Delhi & Hyderabad Contract Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL and SUSE).Perform OS installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application-related issues.Manage user accounts, permissions, groups, and authentication services.Configure and maintain storage, file systems, LVM, and network services.Implement security best practices, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell).Manage system services, startup processes, and scheduled jobs (cron/systemd).Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.Support server migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization projects.Collaborate with application, database, storage, and network teams to resolve production issues.Maintain documentation, SOPs, and system configuration records.Participate in on-call support and incident management. Required Skills Strong experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).Proficiency with Linux command-line administration.Experience with: o LVM, file systems (XFS, EXT4) o Systemd services o SSH, NFS, Samba o DNS, NTP o User and group administration Strong Shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell).Knowledge of Linux security, SELinux, firewall configuration, and system hardening.Experience with package management (YUM, DNF, Zypper, RPM).Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, bonding, VLANs).Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or similar.Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or KVM.Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident, problem, and change management. Preferred Skills Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with CI/CD tools.Familiarity with Identity Management (LDAP, Active Directory integration).Experience with high availability and clustering solutions. .
