Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Area Sales Executive Travel Trade (B2B) role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, with a mix of in-person client visits and some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves managing and growing relationships with travel agents, corporate travel partners, and other B2B clients, including regular meetings, presentations, and follow-ups. The Area Sales Executive will identify new business opportunities, promote holiday packages and services, and achieve sales and revenue targets for the assigned territory. Daily tasks include preparing and negotiating proposals, coordinating with the operations and reservations teams, and ensuring timely responses to partner inquiries. The role also includes monitoring competitor activity, gathering market intelligence, participating in trade events or roadshows, and maintaining accurate records in CRM or reporting tools. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams to improve product offerings, optimize pricing, and ensure a smooth experience for trade partners. Qualifications - Proven B2B sales experience in the travel trade or tourism industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build, maintain, and grow partnerships with travel agents and corporate accounts.Good knowledge of domestic and international destinations, holiday packages, and general travel industry practices.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers in a professional manner.Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and plan regular market visits within the Kolkata metropolitan area.Comfort using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software to track leads, opportunities, and sales performance.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including gathering market feedback and translating it into actionable insights.Bachelors degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.Willingness to travel within the assigned region, attend trade events, and work flexible hours when required by business needs.Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and a customer .
