Product Manager Food Products (Consumer Packaged Goods) Location: West Africa - Accra, Ghana About The Company Our client is a leading multinational food manufacturing and agribusiness company with operations across multiple international markets. The company has a diversified portfolio of consumer food products and is committed to innovation, quality, sustainability, and delivering value to consumers through trusted brands. Position Summary The Product Manager will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of food products, from identifying market opportunities and developing new products to successful commercialisation and post launch performance, working closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Analyse market trends, consumer insights, competitor activity and category performance. - Develop product concepts and business cases aligned with business strategy. - Lead recent product development with R&D;, including specifications, packaging and quality standards. - Develop pricing strategies based on consumer value, costs and competition. - Define product positioning and go-to-market strategies with Marketing. - Support product launches, promotions and sales enablement. - Coordinate with Production, Procurement and Supply Chain for manufacturing readiness. - Drive cross-functional execution and manage project timelines and risks. - Ensure compliance with food safety, labelling, packaging and statutory requirements. - Monitor product performance and recommend improvements. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred. - Approximately 8 years of experience in Product Management, Brand Management, Category Management or New Product Development within Food/FMCG/CPG. - 23 years of Africa market experience preferred but not mandatory. - Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.
