PCIS delivers comprehensive claims management services, including loss adjusting, claims settlement, pre-dispatch surveys, quality inspections, and other insurance-related work for public and private insurers across the Indian sub-continent. PCIS serves leading corporate syndicates and international underwriters, handling cases from routine losses in smaller industries to complex incidents in large, high-profile projects. The company operates from multiple locations in India, including Mumbai, and is connected to Crawfords global network spanning 70 countries. Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai for a System Administrator / Cloud Engineer. The role involves managing and maintaining servers, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of core IT systems. Responsibilities include monitoring system health, performing regular backups, applying patches and updates, and administering user accounts and access controls. The System Administrator / Cloud Engineer will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, provide technical support to internal teams, and coordinate with vendors or service providers when required. The role also includes configuring and maintaining network components, supporting information security initiatives, documenting IT processes, and contributing to IT infrastructure improvements aligned with company standards and compliance requirements. Qualifications - Strong System Administration skills, including server management, operating system configuration, and user access control. - Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting and Technical Support for hardware, software, and system performance issues. - Practical knowledge of Network Administration, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs. - Solid foundation in Information Technology fundamentals, IT infrastructure, and security best practices. - Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies. - Ability to document processes, maintain configuration records, and follow IT policies and compliance requirements. - Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, AWS/Azure certifications) are an advantage. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams. .
