Our esteemed client, Ultra Precise Accounting (UPA) is growing and seeking a well-rounded Senior Accountant with proven experience managing multiple clients simultaneously in an accounting or bookkeeping firm environment. This role is ideal for an accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client setting, brings strong fundamentals in accrual accounting and GAAP, and is comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment. In this position, you will support a portfolio of client accounts, executing core accounting functions, contributing to month-end close, and maintaining accurate, reliable financial records across diverse organizations. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively prioritize competing deadlines across multiple engagements. While prior nonprofit experience is a plus, we are primarily seeking a candidate with solid accounting fundamentals, demonstrated success in a firm setting, and the ability to adapt quickly across different clients, industries, and accounting needs. Key Responsibilities Client Accounting & Month-End Support Perform full-cycle accounting tasks including transaction coding, reconciliations, and accrual-based adjustments Support month-end close processes for multiple client accounts Prepare and review financial reports including P&L and Balance Sheet Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and GAAP-aligned Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner Multi-Client & Remote Work Manage workload across multiple client engagements simultaneously Communicate clearly with internal team members regarding deadlines, issues, and priorities Follow established workflows, documentation standards, and internal controls Maintain strong organization and responsiveness in a remote environment Systems & Tools Work primarily in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Utilize firm tools and workflows to support accuracy, review, and close processes Contribute to process improvements and documentation as systems evolve Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting Strong working knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP At least 2 years of experience in a multi-client environment (accounting firm or bookkeeping firm) At least 2 years of experience working remotely Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to provide at least one professional reference from a direct supervisor (two preferred) Nice to Have Experience working with both nonprofit and for-profit clients Including nonprofits and professional service firms such as law firms Experience using Double (formerly Keeper) Experience with Right Tool or similar review / close tools What We Offer Fully remote, W2 position with consistent workload Clear expectations, structured workflows, and documented processes Exposure to a variety of client types and industries Supportive team environment with opportunities to grow your accounting skills Long-term career potential as the firm continues to scale Ultra Precise Account is an Equal Opportunity Employer Apply To this Job .
