Key Responsibilities: - Owns the electrical commodity strategy for built-to-print EMS assemblies displays, motor controllers, on-board chargers and DC-DC converters and the strategic semiconductor supplier relationships behind them. - Define and maintain a category roadmap aligned to the product and volume plan, with clear cost, capacity, risk and localization targets. - Lead supplier selection, RFQs and sourcing decisions for new programs (NPI) and for cost/continuity actions on running production. - Build direct, strategic relationships with semiconductor suppliers the makers of the power devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, gate drivers), microcontrollers, memory, display drivers and analog ICs that drive our assemblies rather than relying on distribution alone. - Monitor device pricing, wafer and raw-material (including rare-earth/magnet) trends, FX and logistics to forecast landed-cost movement and time buys - Stay ahead of shifts (e.g. SiC/GaN adoption, controller and display technology) to guide sourcing and design-in decisions. - Translate this intelligence into proactive risk actions and buying strategies, and brief leadership with a clear market outlook. - Own commodity cost build should-cost/clean-sheet models for EMS assemblies (material, labour, overhead, NRE) and negotiate to them. - Partner with engineering to influence component selection toward sourceable, second-sourced, lifecycle-healthy parts early, at design-in. Ideal Candidate: - Bachelor's/Masters degree in engineering or Supply chain Management is preferred. - 812+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement of electrical or electronic commodities, including EMS/contract-manufacturing and semiconductor categories. - a track record of direct semiconductor supplier relationships, allocation/LTA management, and lifecycle (EOL/PCN) handling. - solid should-cost, negotiation and contracting capability; comfort with cross-functional influence. - proven use of market intelligence to anticipate lead-time, allocation, pricing or geopolitical shifts and act ahead of them. - Excellent communication skills and people skills .
