Trade Support Ops

Background on the Team The Equities/Fixed Income Trade Support team provides operational support to Equities/Fixed Income trading desks and investment teams. The function is responsible for accurate trade confirmation, timely settlement, and effective resolution of trade-related issues across global markets. Primary Responsibilities: Provide functional support to Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Portfolio Administrators through the Trade Management System (Aladdin). Monitor trade flows from Aladdin to Middle Office teams and Custodians across Equity and Fixed Income asset classes. Responsible for Trade Affimation and Trade Settlement using DTCC CTM, Alert, and custodian platforms. Perform pre-matching, settlements oversight, and fails management, ensuring timely trade completion and minimizing settlement risk. Partner closely with Brokers, Custodians and Clearing Agents to resolve unconfirmed trades, settlement discrepancies, fails, and reconciliation breaks. Support daily trade lifecycle activities, including exception management, query resolution, and operational controls. Identify and resolve issues related to transactions following established MSIM guidelines, procedures, and control frameworks. Contribute to process improvement, standardisation, and automation initiatives. Support UAT, prod-parallel, and transformation efforts related to trade processing. Operate in a mandatory night shift, providing global coverage for the US / EMEA markets. What you'll bring to the role: Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in Trade Support, Settlements, or Middle Office (Equities or Fixed Income). Strong understanding of Equity and Fixed Income securities, settlement conventions, and market practices. MUST. Deep hands-on expertise in Fixed Income/Equities trade confirmation, pre-matching, settlement processing, and fails management. Strong working knowledge of DTCC CTM and ALERT Experience working directly with custodian banks and agent banks. Knowledge of BRS Aladdin PLUS. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with trading desks and senior stakeholders. Ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and propose innovative solutions.
