Role Overview: We are looking for a senior, commercially minded, hands-on Business Central Technical/Functional Consultant / AL Developer to take long-term ownership of One Retail Groups Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. Based from our Bengaluru office, you will work with teams across the UK, China and other markets, supporting systems at the heart of our finance, stock and operational processes. Essential requirement: 8+ years combined hands-on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central experience. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement. This is not a narrow support role, traditional ERP admin position or a role for someone who simply builds every requested change. Business Central is a core system for the business. We need someone who can think independently, explain when a proposed approach is unsafe or unsuitable, and offer a practical better route. You will improve an existing, complex Business Central environment across finance, reporting, integrations and operational workflows. The role involves maintaining and simplifying existing customisations as well as building new solutions only where they are genuinely needed. You will understand a business problem, shape the right Business Central solution, build it safely, test it properly, explain it clearly and support it after release. Over time, you will help create strong internal ownership of our Business Central environment. Key Responsibilities: Business Central Development: Build and maintain Business Central extensions, custom pages, reports, APIs and integrations. Develop confidently in AL and work with Business Central extension architecture. Improve existing customisations without defaulting to unnecessary rewrites. Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows where appropriate, without compromising reliability, auditability or business accuracy. Build solutions that are reliable, supportable and safe for live business use. Systems Improvement and Support: Investigate Business Central issues, identify root causes and implement reliable fixes. Work carefully on systems that support finance, stock and operational processes. Make sure changes preserve the correct business meaning, not just the technical output. Test changes properly before release and support UAT where needed. Finance, Stock and Process Understanding: Work with finance, operations and technical stakeholders to understand real-world problems. Translate business requirements into practical Business Central solutions. Know when an issue is technical, functional, accounting-related or process-related. Protect accuracy, auditability and operational continuity. Challenge unsuitable requests constructively: explain the risk, make the trade-off clear and propose a safer alternative. Integrations, Reporting and Data: Support data flowing into and out of Business Central from ecommerce, marketplace, warehouse, reporting and operational systems. Help maintain safe integration points into Business Central. Understand duplicate prevention, exception handling and data validation. Support reporting and analytics requirements using Business Central data. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, data lakehouse concepts, Power BI or similar reporting environments is helpful, but is not essential. Future Ownership: Help create clearer internal knowledge around Business Central customisations and business logic. Support practical standards for development, testing, documentation and release control. Lead by example as a hands-on builder and problem solver. Ideal Candidate: 8+ years experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central, including 5+ years hands-on with Business Central and AL development. Has owned a live Business Central integration, upgrade, recovery or complex production issue from investigation through to a proven fix. Has built or maintained Business Central extensions, pages, reports, APIs or integrations. Understands finance, inventory, sales, purchasing, reporting or operational processes, and knows when to involve a specialist. Comfortable working on systems where accuracy and reliability matter. Able to improve existing customisations, not just build new ones. Practical, commercially aware and able to explain issues clearly in plain English. Comfortable working with finance, operations and technical stakeholders. Careful with testing, audit trail and production change control. Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools responsibly to speed up analysis, debugging and documentation, while still owning the quality and accuracy of the final work. Takes ownership, spots risks and cares .

That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.

Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.

The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.

In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
