Baylor Genetics is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for providing critical financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role involves collaboration with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, financial performance against budget, and detailed breakdowns of key financial driversPerform detailed analysis of revenue, expenses, and profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementConduct ad hoc financial analysis as requested by senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and decision-makingLead the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with business goalsMonitor actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets, analyzing variances and providing insights on corrective actionsDevelop financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational strategiesCollaborate with senior leadership, business unit managers, and department heads to provide financial insight and drive business performance improvementsParticipate in strategic planning sessions and assist in financial decision-making, particularly around capital expenditures, cost management, and resource allocationSupport pricing decisions, investment analysis, and profitability analysis by providing data-driven recommendationsContinuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline financial reportingDrive automation and adoption of best practices to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and analysisEnsure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP), internal policies, and external regulatory requirementsAssist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring that financial records are in compliance with auditing standardsDevelop, track, and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure business objectives are metProvide insights and actionable recommendations based on the analysis of KPIs to improve business performance and profitabilitySkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field5+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and budgetingProven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial statement analysisPrevious experience in a corporate finance environment, preferably in a large or growing organizationMBA or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA preferredCompany OverviewBaylor Genetics offers a full spectrum of cost-effective, genetic testing, and provides clinically relevant solutions.
