Designation: Sales Manager Pharma Location: Mumbai Key Responsibilities Drive primary and secondary sales across Gujarat and Maharashtra. Manage distributor and stockist performance, productivity, and ROI. Strengthen retailer, chemist, wholesaler, and stockist networks. Monitor sales targets, stock availability, POB, conversion ratios, and field-force productivity. Analyze sales performance and identify growth opportunities. Conduct regular market visits and ensure effective execution of sales strategies. Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams to achieve business objectives. Experience Required Around 510 years of experience in Pharmaceutical General Trade Sales Operations. Minimum 24 years of leadership experience in a sales function. Experience handling Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Gujarat markets. Experience managing Distributor/Stockist Networks (Gujarat & Maharashtra preferred). Strong experience in Primary & Secondary Sales Management. Experience working as a First-Line Manager (FLM) or Second-Line Manager (SLM) . Experience in recruiting, training, coaching, and managing sales teams and frontline managers. Proven ability in performance management, target setting, team development, and retention. Technical & Functional Expertise Strong expertise in: Distributor and Stockist Management Outlet Coverage and Market Expansion Primary & Secondary Sales General Trade Operations Channel Expansion Product portfolio management across OTC, Generic, and Pharma segments D2R (Distributor-to-Retail) and D2S (Distributor-to-Stockist) business models Strong analytical, reporting, MIS, and data interpretation skills . Ability to derive meaningful business insights from sales data. Strong execution capability with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent negotiation skills and strong market knowledge. Ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams. Educational Qualification Graduate (Science/Pharma preferred) MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred (Tier-2 institute preferred) Candidates with a strong academic record across 10th, 12th, Graduation, and MBA will be preferred.
