TESTUNITY Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (Robot Framework) Location: Bangalore Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week from office) Experience: 5+ Years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Robot Framework and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on automation experience, strong debugging skills, and the ability to independently own testing activities for assigned modules. Candidates from the BFSI/Financial Services domain will be preferred. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Robot Framework. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and automation testing. - Independently troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. - Analyze production issues and collaborate with development teams for root cause analysis. - Validate application functionality using SQL queries and Unix/Linux commands. - Participate in test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking. - Own QA activities for assigned modules/features and ensure timely delivery. - Mentor junior QA engineers whenever required. - Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Required SkillsPrimary Skills (Priority Order) 1. Troubleshooting (Highest Priority ~40%) - Strong hands-on debugging and analytical skills. - Ability to independently identify, investigate, and resolve application issues. - Experience handling production incidents and root cause analysis. 2. Robot Framework Automation (Must Have ~20%) - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework. - Experience creating, maintaining, and executing automation test scripts. - Good understanding of automation frameworks and best practices. 3. Unix/Linux - Basic hands-on experience with Linux/Unix. - Comfortable using shell commands, log analysis, and file navigation. 4. SQL - Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge. - Ability to write queries, joins, and perform data validation. 5. Python (Valuable to Have) - Basic understanding of Python. - Ability to read or make minor updates to automation scripts is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) domain. - Experience owning end-to-end QA activities for a module or feature. - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
