You will collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role focuses on building automated testing frameworks, increasing release confidence, and driving continuous improvement across complex applications and distributed systems. What You Will Be Doing Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable test assets.Create automated test suites for functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.Collaborate with engineering teams to embed automation and quality practices early in development.Validate software releases through comprehensive automated and risk-based testing strategies.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments.Perform API testing and service validation across distributed and cloud-based environments.Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.Improve test coverage, maintainability, and execution efficiency across applications.Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and product quality.Contribute to quality standards, automation best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications.Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or similar tools.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality engineering principles, and Agile delivery practices.Experience building and executing API tests using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent technologies.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration using modern DevOps practices.Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.Experience working with relational databases and validating data integrity through automated testing.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services, fintech, regulatory technology, or enterprise software environments.Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or k6.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks and practices.Understanding of security testing concepts, vulnerability assessment, and secure development practices.Experience creating test automation strategies for microservices and distributed architectures.What We Offer you At FIS, you can grow your career as far as you want to take it. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
