Deputy Manager / Manager - Risk

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Deputy / Manager - Risk Location: Gurgaon-CO, Goregaon-CO Department: Risk Function:Information Security Reporting to: General Manager Band:11 Context & Role: This role oversees IT and privacy risk management, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices by developing and maintaining security policies, conducting internal assessments, and monitoring control effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Understanding applicable regulations, guidelines and industry best practices to manage IT and privacy risk and ensure compliance to company policiesThe role will develop, maintain, and evaluate organizational security policies and procedures, and they work closely with IT function to ensure systems controls meet security requirementsMonitoring internal control effectiveness against regulatory by performing internal risk assessmentsEnsure that appropriate risk-mitigating controls are implemented and functioning properly and align with the organizations established risk tolerancesPrepare compliance reporting for management on the above areasSupport in ongoing activities for IT security, risk and compliance like Vendor IT security assessments, tracking IT risk issues and closure status Desired qualifications and experience:Minimum of 7-9 years of professional experience in managing and mitigating IT and privacy risks within a complex organization.Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security policies, procedures, and controls.Experience in insurance industryExperience of stakeholder managementKnowledge and skills required: Good analytical skills and eye for detailGood investigation skillsAbility to interact with all functions, vendors and other stakeholdersFair Insurance regulatory knowledge & understanding of IT security areasGood judgment in interpreting guidelines and regulations .
