Role Description The Clinical Orthotist & Prosthetist at Locorehab Clinic is a full-time, on-site role based in Raipur. The professional in this role will assess patients functional needs, take measurements, and design custom orthotic and prosthetic devices tailored to individual conditions and mobility goals. Daily responsibilities include fabricating, fitting, and adjusting devices; educating patients and caregivers on proper use, care, and maintenance; and monitoring outcomes through regular follow-up visits. The role involves close collaboration with physiotherapists, physicians, and other rehabilitation specialists to create integrated treatment plans, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adhere to relevant clinical and safety standards. The Clinical Orthotist & Prosthetist also supports continuous improvement by staying current with advances in materials, technology, and best practices in orthotics and prosthetics. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong clinical assessment and patient evaluation skills, including the ability to analyze gait, posture, and functional limitations.Candidates should possess skills in orthotic and prosthetic design, fabrication, fitting, and alignment, with attention to comfort, safety, and durability.Candidates should possess knowledge of rehabilitation principles, biomechanics, and materials commonly used in orthotics and prosthetics.Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to explain device use, provide education, and build trust with patients and caregivers.Candidates should possess sound documentation, organization, and time-management skills to handle multiple cases and maintain accurate records.Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to diverse patient needs.Relevant professional qualification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (e.g., Bachelors or Masters degree, or recognized diploma) and appropriate registration or licensing where applicable.Prior clinical experience in an orthotics and prosthetics or rehabilitation setting is preferred; experience with complex cases and pediatric or geriatric populations is an added advantage.Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing learning, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols in a clinical environment. .
