DATA ENGINEER (DBT) We are looking for a Data Engineer to be part of our Nestl Nespresso Digital and Tech Team. This role requires strong collaboration with data architects, modelers, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions that support advanced analytics, personalization, and marketing automation across global markets. Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and management systems. Develop and optimize data pipelines using modern orchestration tools (e.g., Develop and maintain data warehouse transformations using dbt and modern data warehousing techniques such as dimensional modeling, incremental processing. Collaborate with data architects and IT teams to translate complex requirements into detailed designs. Ensure compliance with internal security and regulatory standards across all data processes. Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures. Create custom software components and analytics applications to support business intelligence needs. Monitor pipeline stability and performance, implementing remediation plans when necessary. Provide data-access tools and visualization capabilities for non-technical users. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data-intensive development roles.Expertise in SQL, Python, and experience with CI/CD processes and Git.Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and containerized solutions (Docker).Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and dbt.Solid understanding of data science concepts, ML frameworks, and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects within deadlines. Experience with streaming data processes and real-time analytics (Kafka, Flink). Focus on performance optimization, cost monitoring. Experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred) and data visualization. Familiarity with marketing, eCommerce, and media data sources and their use cases. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
