Role & responsibilities Contact to Hire Senior QA Automation Lead Location: Hybrid/Remote Experience: 8+ years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Lead with a proven track record in automation testing and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Selenium, TypeScript, Playwright, Node.js, and Python. Will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions. In this role, you will not only contribute technically but also mentor QA engineers, influence testing strategies, and play a key role in shaping our automation frameworks and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the QA automation strategy, planning, and execution for complex software projects. - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, TypeScript, Node.js and Python - API Testing using Rest-Assured, Postman, Swagger - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage. - Perform code reviews for automation scripts to maintain high-quality standards. - Drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing practices. - Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban) and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives. - Ensure timely identification, documentation, and resolution of defects. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 8+ years of professional experience in software testing, with a robust focus on automation - Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, TypeScript, Node.js and Python - Proven experience in leading QA efforts for complex, large-scale software systems. - Strong knowledge of test automation tools and best practices. - Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Familiarity with continuous integration & deployment pipelines - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and leadership skills. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: - Experience with Java and Selenium - Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.). - Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling). Education: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
