Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Radiologist Typist role based in Siliguri. The Radiologist Typist will be responsible for accurately typing and preparing radiology reports based on dictations provided by radiologists and other medical professionals. The role includes transcribing reports related to MRI, CT scans, X-rays, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging examinations, while ensuring correct medical terminology, spelling, formatting, and documentation standards. Responsibilities include listening to and accurately transcribing radiologist dictations, preparing and formatting diagnostic imaging reports, reviewing reports for typographical and grammatical errors, maintaining consistency in medical terminology, and ensuring reports are completed within specified turnaround times. The Radiologist Typist will work closely with radiologists and clinical staff to clarify unclear dictations or information and will maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and medical information. The ideal candidate should have excellent typing speed and accuracy, strong listening and concentration skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with radiology and medical terminology. The ability to work efficiently under deadlines and in a fast-paced hospital environment is essential. QualificationsStrong typing and transcription skills with high accuracy and speed.Good understanding of medical and radiology terminology.Ability to accurately type radiology reports from voice/audio dictations.Familiarity with terminology related to MRI, CT, X-ray, and other diagnostic imaging procedures.Excellent listening skills and ability to understand different accents, pronunciations, and medical dictations.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct spelling, grammatical, formatting, and transcription errors.Proficiency in MS Word or other word-processing and medical reporting software.Familiarity with PACS, RIS, electronic medical records, or radiology reporting systems is an advantage.Ability to maintain proper formatting and standardized structure of radiology reports.Knowledge of patient confidentiality, healthcare documentation standards, and data protection practices.Ability to communicate effectively with radiologists and other clinical staff to clarify unclear or incomplete dictations.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize reports according to urgency and turnaround requirements.Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced clinical or hospital environment.Prior experience as a Radiology Typist, Medical Typist, Medical Transcriptionist, or Radiology Transcriptionist is preferred.Relevant training or certification in medical transcription, radiology transcription, or healthcare documentation is an advantage. .
