Purchase Executive Ship Chandler / Marine Spare Parts Purchase Executive Ship Chandler / Marine Spare Parts Location: Parrys, Chennai Experience: Minimum 25 Years in purchase of technical items in any manufacturing industry Qualification: Any Degree / Diploma Job Type: Full Time Job Description: We are looking for a Purchase Executive for our Ship Chandler / Marine Services business to handle procurement of technical items, ship spare parts and marine supplies. Responsibilities: Handle purchase of technical and ship spare parts as per vessel requirements. Source and identify reliable suppliers for marine and engineering items. Obtain quotations, compare prices and negotiate with vendors. Purchase mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other marine spare parts . Understand vessel requisitions, specifications, part numbers and technical descriptions. Coordinate with suppliers for availability, pricing and delivery schedules. Ensure timely procurement for urgent vessel requirements. Verify quality, quantity, specifications and documents before dispatch. Maintain purchase orders, quotations, vendor records and purchase documentation. Coordinate with Stores, Sales, Operations and Logistics teams. Follow up on pending orders and ensure on-time delivery. Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network for marine spare parts. Handle urgent/short-lead-time procurement requirements. Requirements: Minimum 25 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement , preferably in Ship Chandler, Marine, Shipping, Engineering or Industrial Spare Parts . Knowledge of ship spare parts and technical items is preferred. Good understanding of mechanical and electrical components. Ability to read and understand technical specifications, part numbers and catalogues. Good negotiation and vendor management skills. Good knowledge of MS Excel and email communication. Strong follow-up and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent vessel requirements. Good English communication skills. Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in Ship Chandler / Marine Spare Parts / Vessel Stores / Technical Procurement / Engineering Spares will be preferred. Salary 25,000 45,000 per month , based on experience and skills. .
