Senior General Accounting Specialist

Job Summary Management of key finance master data. This role is an important transformational responsibility in driving accurate and reliable financial data that supports high quality financial reporting to key stakeholders and executives. Location: Gurgaon, Haryana - India Position: General Op Accounting. Sr. Specialist Shift Time (Day/Afternoon): 12.00 PM 10.00 PM IST Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain finance master data (e.g., chart of accounts, organizational hierarchies, etc.) in the following key systems: multiple system in use including various BPCs, SAP etc. Manage and maintain account mapping between key systems. Ongoing review of the impact of master data changes on key systems and the broader reporting environment. Design Authority input for management accounts reporting and financial reporting. Support of and involvement in the OneERP CIM development and roll out. Ad hoc support for reporting requirements, if needed (e.g., management accounts reporting, budgets, impairment testing, etc.). Knowledge and Attributes Excellent attention to detail, able to maintain a high standard of accuracy and quality Strong communication skills (written and verbal), able to communicate at all levels within the organization Self-starter, able to tackle problems independently but consult and ask for guidance when necessary Comfortable to seek direction or input from seniors Ability to follow processes methodically and thoroughly, and enforce policies Strong change management skills Deadline driven and able to cope with stressful situations Solid negotiation skills, ability to be persuasive Required Experience Comprehensive financial reporting experience IFRS application experience Knowledge of end-to-end business processes, and an understanding of the impact of system changes on financial reporting Advanced MS Excel skills Advantageous but not essential: knowledge of data architecture and data structures, previous experience working on accounting systems such as SAP ERP, SAP Business Planning Consolidation (BPC), SAP Central Finance (CFIN), etc. Extensive experience in a comparable role within a global organization Key Performance Parameters Master Data Management; Financial Reporting; Change Management; Stakeholder Communication; Control and Governance Essential Knowledge and Analytical Skills MS Word/Excel/Outlook Education Background Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, commerce or relevant field. MBA. CA/CMA Inter Work Experience Typically requires 08-10 years relevant experience Global experience of working with teams across geographies will be given preference .
