About the job: Company Description Virtual Clone is a leading provider of outsourced accounting services for firms in the UK and Australia. The company helps clients improve efficiency, streamline operations, and reduce costs through comprehensive support across bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, tax, audit, and back-office processes. Team members work with industry-standard software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, MYOB, and other client-specific platforms. Role Description The Senior Associate | UK Accounting will handle day-to-day accounting activities for UK-based clients, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, posting and reconciling journal entries, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities include managing bookkeeping, assisting with management accounts, and collaborating with senior accountants and client teams to ensure accurate, timely deliverables in line with UK accounting standards. The role involves working with multiple accounting software platforms, maintaining documentation, and supporting tax and compliance-related reporting as required. This is a full-time, Hybrid position based in Mumbai, requiring close coordination with internal teams and international client stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage bookkeeping and accounting for UK-based clients.Prepare management accounts, year-end accounts, and financial statements.Prepare and review VAT returns in compliance with UK regulations.Perform accounts finalization and month-end/year-end closing activities.Process journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.Assist in preparing corporation tax working papers and supporting schedules.Ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines.Work closely with UK clients and internal teams to resolve accounting queries.Maintain compliance with UK accounting standards and internal quality procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.CA, ACCA (Qualified or Pursuing), or equivalent accounting qualifications are preferred. Required Skills Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and compliance requirements.Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Dext, IRIS, TaxCalc, Silverfin, or similar platforms.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong verbal and written English communication skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Minimum 3 years of UK accounting experience.Experience in bookkeeping, VAT returns, accounts preparation, and accounts finalization.Strong experience in accounts finalization, management accounts, VAT, and reviewing work prepared by junior team members.Experience managing client portfolios and mentoring team members is preferred Who can apply: Only those candidates can apply who: have minimum 3 years of experience Salary: Competitive salary Experience: 3 year(s) Deadline: 2035-01-01 00:00:00 .
