Director, Vendor Management

The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: Completing work necessary for defining the charter and building a strategic partner management organization Develop and implement vendor management processes and strategies to optimize vendor performance and drive cost savingsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure effective communication and collaborationNegotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditionsMonitor vendor performance and conduct regular vendor evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligations and business case value realization. Maintain a central repository for storing key performance, contractual and financial documentation Identify and mitigate vendor risks to protect the company from potential liabilitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor management goals with the company's overall business objectivesLead a team of vendor management professionals to support the company's vendor management initiativesDeveloping processes and organization capability to execute strategic provider relationshipsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum of 7 years of experience in vendor management or procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholdersExperience in managing a team of vendor management professionalsKnowledge of vendor management best practices and industry trendsClear thinker who anticipates and develops strategies for anticipating future consequences and trends Cope with change and work effectively without having the total picture Cleary delineates responsibilities and sets clear objectives and measures Quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of new situations and problems Experience in designing and deploying performance management processes and systemsKnows how organizations work; knows how to get things done through formal channels and the informal network .
