Job Description Application Support Engineer About the Role The role requires strong expertise in application support, monitoring, Linux, scripting, and IT service management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of the applications and their associated infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide L2 operations support for business-critical applications. Monitor application health using Grafana, Nagios, and Zabbix dashboards. Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and escalation for application and system issues. Collaborate with Development, DBA, Infrastructure teams for issue resolution and deployments. Manage tickets, changes, and ITSM processes in line with organizational policies. Perform log analysis, root cause analysis, and prepare post-incident reports. Develop and maintain automation scripts to enhance monitoring, alerting, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with SLAs and internal security/governance policies. Support application deployments, patching, SSL certificate renewals, and upgrades. Required Skills & Experience 3-9 years of experience in Application/Production Support or similar role. Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell/Python scripting. Experience with Oracle and MongoDB databases (query execution, monitoring, troubleshooting). Familiarity with Java-based applications (log analysis, JVM, thread dumps, etc.). Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix). Exposure to DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation, version control). Ability to read and analyze application traces/logs using tracing tools, and strong API understanding Working knowledge of NGINX / Apache (reverse proxy, load balancing, SSL/TLS configuration) SSL certificate management (deployment, renewal, troubleshooting) Docker (container deployment & management) Kafka (basic operations, monitoring, troubleshooting) Node.js (understanding of services, log analysis) Keycloak (identity & access management, SSO integration) Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes) is an added advantage. Strong understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management). Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications in Linux, ITIL, DevOps, containers, or monitoring tools will be an added advantage. .
